Majored in Graphic Design in undergraduate studies and Information Design in graduate school. She expresses her creativity through graphic design, photography, and motion imagery, often playing with optical illusions, surreal compositions, and symbolic language. Her work is featured on major visual and art platforms in Taiwan and internationally. She has exhibited at the Asia Culture Center in Korea with 《Solidarity Spores》, served as video director and photographer for the main visual of the 《YODEX》, creative director of the 《GIMA》, and a directing instructor for Apple’s 《Today at Apple》 program. Her works have been nominated and awarded at international film festivals in the UK, Italy, Australia, Portugal, Romania, Bulgaria, and more, with an ongoing focus on themes such as gender and psychology. These images are not digitally composited; rather, they are composed through real postures, lighting, and spatial relations—forming an image that is simultaneously unified and fragmented. This optical dissonance exposes the fragility and instability of the body as a vessel of social language. The pink-toned visual setting and anatomical labeling evoke the ways in which power operates through language and systems of classification, rationalizing the female body into an interpretable, dissectible structure. The work engages with Judith Butler’s theory of gender performativity, which posits that gender is not an essence but a construct—an identity enacted and reiterated through social performance. When two subjects’ limbs are displaced and merged into a “single body,” a disjunction arises between the viewer’s intuition and reason. This tension itself becomes an act of resistance against gender essentialism, disrupting the expectation of bodily coherence. The composition does not seek harmony; it is a deliberate act of disruption, revealing multiplicity beneath the surface of representation. Echoes of Gilles Deleuze and Félix Guattari’s notion of the body without organs also emerge here—this is not a body defined by function, but a fluid subjectivity that escapes the logic of anatomical order and social utility. It refuses the demand to be seen, refuses to submit to structural control. With cool precision, it reveals how the female body, within contemporary visual culture, is both objectified and striving to break free from that objectifying gaze. Commissioned by Asia Cultur Centert 　 ———————————————— If there were no genders, it should not cause any troubles to say “ze has loved cars since childhood”, “ze dreams to become a ballet dancer”, or “ze loves zir deeply and wants to spend zir life with zir”. 　 Gender binary is the source of all gender troubles. If people could choose to become partners, how to dress and how to present themselves in life without gender labels, then we no longer need to establish self-value by conforming to gender stereotypes. An individual could build a personal image freely without referring to gender roles and instead according to their unlimited imagination. 　 Taiwan became the first country in Asia to legalize same-sex marriage in 2019. In the same year, the Oxford English Dictionary update included gender-neutral third-person pronouns Ze and Zir. With a similar spirit, we experiment with removing the radicals of Chinese characters “他(he)”/“她(she)”, reinventing the character “也” as the potential gender-neutral pronoun and using it as the core concept of this creative project. 　 The work consists of three moving posters, which will be displayed in loop on three aligned, vertical screens, each with a different theme. We incorporate elements of gender stereotypes in these images while seeking to break the traditional gender framework through a visual dynamic, as well as to discover more freedom in gender expression. This hole is the only clue from inner and outside, where we see the world from ellipse to square.A twist form makes people to wonder curiously to catch.
